Example of a Simple Course Syllabus:

Wash Clothes

1. Sort Clothes
   • Sort by colour
   • Sort by fabric
   • Sort by water temperature
2. Use Washing Machine Controls
   • Select water temperature
   • Select water level
   • Select running time
3. Add Cleaning Agents
   • Select type of soap
   • Select amount of soap
   • Determine if special additives are required

The Terminal Objective, "Wash Clothes," has three Enabling Objectives:
  1. Sort Clothes,
  2. Use Washing Machine Controls, and
  3. Add Cleaning Agents.

The Teaching Points are in bulleted lists beneath each Enabling Objective.

The results of the attendees' demonstrated ability to wash clothes by successfully sorting them, using the washing machine and adding cleaning agents determines the successfulness of the course.

Based on those results and attendee response, the course may be modified to achieve the Terminal Objective more efficiently.
